@NajidaRazi I'm doing belly dance myself, and you're right in all, but although belly dance isn't about being erotic it IS on it's own way. And yes, this little girl is a really great dancer, but in my opinion belly dance isn't a dance for little girls.

Imagine her ten years after this, if she goes on training she could probably become a prp, that kind of rythmic sense in a five-year-old is rare! I was literally staring like this O.O at her. At her age, my mom made me do kids ballet, because I had about 1 per cent of her bodymovement control.

shes got some great technique, for being, what, 5 years old?? Belly dance is is a great form of exercise for women, by the way. It's not just about dance, it's about gaining total control of all the muscles of your body, especially those peculiar to the female sex. At 52 years old, it's really helping me to get back into shape after an extended illness,& years of sedentary lifestyle. it doesnt put my back out, or wear me out too much, like a lot of exercise programs would. I just love it.

@grumpetygrumpetygroo probably because their ab muscles get bigger...but since women tend to have fat in that area, it's not completely flat/defined

@grumpetygrumpetygroo Well, in some countries (were this dance is traditional) fat is a sign of health and fertility. And yeah, most of bellydancers have a fat belly, but this is also "necessary" to emphasize the movements of the hips. I dunno why. I live in Mexico and girls who practice bellydance are really fit and it looks great. I do bellydance, too and I´m slim and it´s like, the same damn damn thing.
