@Augustbeauty69 Sorry, I haven't got a clue what you mean?

@nondualaspiegirl I know, like, "Are you sad because someone you didn't know died?"

Best movie ever. Love the soundtrack!

wondefull movie.... kind of makes me sad... but it shouldent!!!!!!!

I sooooooooooooooooo get this movie.
Thank you for making it.

It's ironic coz I'm an aspie and the band of this song is 'Broken social scene' who I saw live a few years back and one of the band members done 1st aid on me as I fainted, it was a cool unique experience, and bizzare that they paly a theme to my fave film. But yeah anything that helps others see and raise awareness for how autistic people behave, promotes acceptance and understanding : )

This must have been so fun to film. I would have loved it. How can you not? I mean, getting to just dance around!

It was a great role and performance, and must've been extremly challenging. Yet the deep insights and research of this film goes to show that high functioning autism has many unusual ways of expressing itself, I have aspergers and even though it would seem strange to dance like this at your daughters funerel it also makes sense, as we have ways of being and expressing emotion uniquely and creativly, a childlike way of seeing the world, that can make onlookers run a mile it's simply communicating

"Anthems for a Seventeen Year-Old Girl"

by Broken Social Scene.

whats the song when Linda seems to be dancing with Vivienne? I love that song...:)

It's a wonderful film, I was interested to read that Sigourney Weaver spent over a year researching her role and lived with an autistic woman for a while, however Alan Rickman on the other hand, deliberately avoided learning anything about the condition so that his surprise and bewilderment at Linda's 'strange' behaviour would be all the more authentic and realistic.
My respect for Sigourney Weaver as an actor has grown immensely - thanks to this film, she was absolutely incredible.

@RobzFanpire People will always want to get away from things they feel are weird, unusual, or don't understand, forgetting that they have their *own* unusual things or things that may be considered unusual by others. But still, I think that judging will always be around, unfortunately. Be different, whether you can help or not, and be judged.

The daughter almost looks like Ally Sheedy. Cool. :)

Thanks so much for uploading this scene mate! One of my favourite films and I think one of the best that explores loss and grief and human diversity all together - and how Linda experiences her loss in particular - and the judgement that falls on her for sharing her unique and FUN relationship with her daughter even in her grief . Totally moving and awesome performances all round! Gonna share this now :-)

ZOMG LoL This reminds me of a story about me:

My sister said that the first time I danced in front of people, they all burst out laughing because I looked like a spindly, jumping spider LOL (I was really little, like maybe 2 or 3, and she said I broke down crying because I didn't like people laughing at me LoL).

I've improved since then lol ;)

But I imagine it looked something like Sigourney in this scene! ^_^ She's so awesome <3
