it kinda looked like it was a normal routine, instead of an instant-dance... i was impressed!

They moved SO, SO fast.

i understand how Carrie Ann could see that they were off, since this song can be counted in many different ways. Also, the early cue could have thrown them off maybe 1/2 a count, and she noticed that.

to wassup8845 that is because hines could literally walk across the stage or just do nothing and they will still give him perfect scores. they favor him and its not just carrie ann.

I think another reason Carrie Ann might not seeing the connection to the music is because of the missed cue. Although I'm sure she would have had the same thing regardless of whether or not they started correctly.

Perfect song for the perfect moves!

This is my favorite couple of the season but this was NOT salsa even for a ballroom competition, the choreography was full of energy but coupled with Caribbean music it could have been anything. Usually with paso doble and tango they still keep a resemblance of the original dance, not here.
